A five-minute high-protein breakfast for a GLP-1 plan
By the Everlon founding team · · How we write and review health content
A high-protein breakfast for a GLP-1 plan can take five minutes. Here are two: a yogurt bowl with no cooking at all, and a quick egg scramble for mornings with a little more time.
Option one: Greek yogurt bowl (no cooking)
You'll need
- A cup of plain Greek yogurt
- A handful of berries, fresh or frozen
- A spoonful of nuts or seeds
- A little honey or cinnamon, if you like
Steps
- Spoon the yogurt into a bowl.
- Top with the berries and the nuts or seeds.
- Add the honey or cinnamon and eat.
Option two: quick egg scramble
You'll need
- Two eggs
- A handful of spinach
- A little shredded cheese
- A slice of whole-grain toast, if you like
Steps
- Warm a non-stick pan over medium heat and wilt the spinach.
- Beat the eggs, pour them in and stir gently.
- Cook until the eggs are firm, not runny, then add the cheese. USDA's guidance is to cook eggs until the yolk and white are firm, and egg dishes to 160°F.
Make it easier
Keep yogurt, eggs and frozen berries on your grocery list, and breakfast is already planned.
